The Cynthia Jones obituary begins with two simple words that capture how deeply she was cherished by her family: loved infinitely. In a world where long eulogies and extended tributes are often used to describe what someone meant, Cynthia Jones’s family chose just two words, and those words say everything.

Cynthia of Penclawdd, Swansea, passed away peacefully on 28th July 2026. She was the devoted Mumm of Hara, Rhiannon and Catrin, the beloved Granny of Sam and Joel, and the honoured mother-in-law of Bob, Neil and Yanni. She leaves behind a family that is, by its own accounting, broken open — and full of love simultaneously.

Her passing has been published in the Swansea Evening Post death notices, the Gower coast and the wider Swansea community pausing to honour a woman described in the most expansive terms possible.

Loved Infinitely: Two Words That Mean Everything

The word infinitely is doing a great deal of work in those two words, and it earns every syllable. Infinite means without boundary, without end, without limit. It is a mathematical concept applied to something entirely human  the love a family had for a woman called Cynthia.

Most tributes say things like: ‘she will be missed.’ Or: ‘she was dearly loved.’ These are true and meaningful phrases, but they have edges. They are bounded. ‘Loved infinitely’ refuses those edges. It says: we do not have a word large enough for what she meant to us, so here is the largest word we have.

The family chose it with care. It is not a cliché. It is a statement of the specific magnitude of their grief and their love, and it deserves to be read that way.

Mumm: A Spelling That Belongs to Her

Cynthia’s daughters call her Mumm. Not Mum, not Mam, not Mom. Mumm. It is a spelling chosen by a family, or perhaps coined by a child long ago and never corrected because it felt right — because it was theirs.

These small personalised words matter enormously in a tribute. They are the proof that this is not a generic notice but a record of a specific woman and the specific family she raised. Hara, Rhiannon and Catrin’s Mumm. No one else’s.

The three names of her daughters are themselves a small landscape of Welsh identity and personal history Hara, Rhiannon, Catrin, names chosen with care by a woman who clearly cared about the weight and beauty of language.

Granny and Honoured Mother-in-Law

Cynthia Jones obituary was the beloved Granny of Sam and Joel. Two grandchildren who knew her, and who will grow up holding whatever memories they have of her alongside the stories the adults around them will tell.

She was also the honoured mother-in-law of Bob, Neil and Yanni. The word honoured is unusual in an obituary and deliberate in this one. It is the language of deep respect, not just warmth, but genuine esteem for the woman their partners called Mumm.

A Service to Celebrate Her Life

Llanelli Crematorium: 1:00 PM

A service to celebrate Cynthia Jones obituary life will take place on Thursday, 27th August 2026 at 1:00pm at Llanelli Crematorium — among the Llanelli Crematorium funerals Swansea listed in the South Wales Evening Post. No flowers please.

Two Charities: Two Causes Close to the Family

Donations in Cynthia’s memory are invited to Parkinson’s UK (for Research) — supporting the vital scientific work that may one day spare other families this kind of grief.

Donations may also be made to Whizz-Kidz — the charity that provides powered wheelchairs, equipment and support to disabled children across the UK, enabling them to live fuller, more independent lives.

Both charities were chosen with intention. Together, they speak to a woman who cared about research and about children — about the future, and about the young people in it.

Cynthia Jones Obituary: Loved Without End

Cynthia Jones obituary was a Mumm, a Granny and an honoured presence in the lives of everyone who knew her. She raised three daughters whose names alone speak to a woman with Welsh roots and a poet’s instinct. She was loved by Bob, Neil and Yanni, who chose the word honoured. And she was loved by Sam and Joel, who will grow up knowing who their Granny was.

But the family’s own word — infinitely — is the one that matters most. It is the one they chose when all other words ran out. It is the one that comes closest to the truth of what they lost.

Loved infinitely.

Rest in peace, Cynthia Jones obituary — Mumm to Hara, Rhiannon and Catrin, Granny to Sam and Joel, and a woman whose love had no boundary and no end.
