The Swansea Evening Post announces with great sadness the peaceful passing of Thomas Eurof Davies of Gowerton (Tre-gwyr), who passed away on Sunday, 12 April 2026 at Awel y Môr Nursing Home, Gorseinon. A deeply respected member of the Gowerton community, Thomas leaves behind a family who adored him and a community that will not quickly forget him.
Family & Loved Ones
Beloved Husband, Dad and Father-in-Law
Thomas was the beloved husband of the late Sandra , a love he carried with him always. He was a dearly loved dad of Berian and Cathryn, and a loving father-in-law to Claire and Lynn, welcoming each into the family with the warmth and generosity that defined him.
A Cherished Grandad
To his grandchildren, Aled and Elina, Jac, and Matthew, Thomas was their cherished Grandad: steady, proud, and completely devoted. The kind of grandfather whose presence meant the world, and whose absence will leave a gap that cannot be filled.
Brother and Friend to Many
He was a much loved brother of Margaret and a dear brother-in-law to Alun and Susan. Thomas will be sadly missed by all his family and his many friends across Gowerton and South Wales.
“Please Wear Club Ties” A Man Who Belonged
Few funeral requests say as much about a person as this one. The Davies family’s invitation for mourners to wear their club ties is a portrait of a man deeply embedded in the social life of Gowerton and the wider Swansea community. In South Wales, the club tie represents belonging to rugby clubs, bowling clubs, veterans’ associations and the many institutions that bind communities across generations. Thomas Eurof Davies earned his ties, and those who attend are warmly encouraged to wear them with pride in his honour.

Remembering Thomas Eurof Davies of Gowerton
Thomas Eurof Davies was a man who showed up, for his family, for his friends, for his clubs, and for his community. He was a husband who never stopped loving, a grandfather who was always present, and a neighbour whose ties, literal and otherwise ran deep across Gowerton and South Wales.
